I cant see Joss doing another different reality episode now because it looks like thats the direction Angel will soon be taking. Plus Vamp Willow is now dead and the only reason why she came back was due to Anya wanting her power source back. It would be pretty sad to see a repeat storyline. I also think that Joss would NEVER place Willow and Tara in those roles. The reason why he made a gay couple is to show that there is nothing wrong with being gay. I think a Vamped up Willow and Tara Lesbian Session would be a tad bit offensive and go against everything that he has built up.
I do like the idea of "Pretty Maids All In a Row" being converted, it would make a great TV Movie after Buffy has finished. It would show us that Spike aint a wuss as he does some serious damage in that Book (The Train Scene would be a pretty nasty scene if it made it onto the TV.) But yet again I can't see it happening there are too many cheesy connections to present day Council members and a certain Vampire Kakitos (Cant remember how to spell his name)

Slightly double standards here guys, I mean we can have an episode with a hetero couple shagging non stop ( Buff and Riley in 'where the wild things are' (I think!)) but somehow we cannot have a similar episode involving a gay couple? Strange isn't it? Also I love the idea of having 'Pretty maids' converted although I doubt it would be it's just too violent and Spike is frankly way harder than he is in the series. Also what about the ice demon thing? how would they create that? Have you actually read the book now the Rogue?

Good point Mephisto how the hell would they do Skrymir? The way he is painted in my maind could never be done on TV with out it looking poo.
On your other question I am on chapter 15 at the moment. I should have read it in the next couple of days.

This topic was a brilliant debate when it was up and running. I just wanted to know what people now think of the Willow & Tara debate after many of us have seen events in Season Six?
I think the decision to break the two up was well timed.
I get the deeling that Joss did not want to put too much emphasis on a Lesbian couple and use that to draw in male audiences.
Now that they have split up would it not be a good idea for one of them to get a new partner, or at least show interests in other people??

Yay for me, I was right, I'm doin a dance in ma fancy pants All praise me for predicting the break up of Willow and Tara ages before any rumors, whispers or spoilers were going round. Its sad to see but I think it was handled right, if someone did that to me I would have a serious problem with it, its just a violation. On the subject of other love interests is there anyone for them to move onto? Buffy (on the end of Spike), Anya (married), Dawn (illegal), there are no single female characters in the show for them to date. They would have to right in another gay woman into the show which would probably seem a little laboured, plus people who watch Buffy are amazingly resistant to change, look at what happened with Riley!?

I must admit when you made your "prediction" that Willow and Tara were to break up the spoilers and rumours would have been out for ages.
On October the 9th you said they were and on the 30th "All the Way" aired and on the 6th November "Once More With Feeling" aired. The spoilers for the contents for these episodes would have been out well before, I can remember spoilers for "Once More With Feeling" coming out 6 to 7 weeks before the episode due to the fact they were filming it over other episodes. hhmmmm I think it best to stop that dance in your fancy pants.
Also following on from what you said I do agree with no single female characters for them to date so the obvious thing would be for them to get back together. Plus we don't know if Anya will marry Xander and I hear strong rumours that Buffy and Spike split up in an episode soon to air in the US, I believe it to be "As you were."

i know that ppl have not posten on this topic in like over a year but we now see that pritty much every1 was wronge on this topic even me in my speculations
he did not break them up cos he did not want males tuning in 4 the wronge reasons like Joss pritty much everything he dose on the show has major repurcutions and he broke them up cos of magic and then the big bad was all about Willow and her Magic, i love how we all get fooled by him makes it more interesting Timless
