I must admit the X-Box has taken a lot of us by surprise and it looks like a very cool games console.

The Buffy game looks amazing and WWF Raw looks so much better than Smackdown 3 on the PS2.

I have never been a one console man and I never will be. I have got a Playstation 2 but it wont keep me happy.
The Gamecube looks cool and Zelda is always good but I just get the feeling that it wont take off like I hope.
Nintendo are a brilliant company but maybe its time they go down the sega street and turn to making games. I mean imagine playing Sega and Nintendo games the two best Games compaines around on the PS2 or X-Box.

People can try and use the excuse that the X-Box is just a money-making scheme from Billy Gates, but the fact of the matter is that the X-Box is more powerful and better looking than the PS2 and I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on one...

i was one of the privalidged last night and got to see an xbox, and to be honest its a ps2 with a hard drive. which dont make that much difference seeing as consoles arnt really sposed to have them...the game i saw was the DOA2 and once we all got over the shiney gloss, we started to notice a few nigly bits, specially with chunky yes chunky edges along some characters and backgrounds. this version is no better than the ps2's which in turn was no better than the DC's and if im to belive the xbox aint spose to have these seeing as its the most powerful console on earth it aint much different to the ps2, and the size of the thing just takes the piss. lets just hope that this one game was just an itch that they can scratch for the uk release otherwise... menu is cool tho very very cool

When the PS2 first arrived there was much complaint about the lack of smooth edges on characters because no-one could do the 'anti-ialising' or some s**t that makes edges smooth.
Seems to have cleared up now though, developers have to learn how to program for a console which takes time.
Fact is the Xbox may be the greatest thing on earth but I won't own one because of the PS2. I can only afford one console and that is the PS2.

Well its been a few days since your post but I think "you should cut down on the porklife mate, get some exerciiiiise"*.

Just joking, there's plenty of time to play on an X-Box later LoR, I mean you'll own one in a couple of months, in the mean time you must prepare your body for its inactivity when you buy the thing (weeks will pass when you refuse to stop playing the thing I'll bet), basically, play some football!

Anyway I really like the look of that and RAW but I just cant get over how bloody big that console is! Anyway if Buffy plays to its full potential, who cares???

X-box's japan launch was a complete and utter failure, says the grapevine, and the ceo of xbox japan resigned his post due to being "embarrassed" by the poor sales figures.

It looks like our eastern chums arnt taking to Mr Gate's plot to rule the computing world as much as he hoped.

but sales in the UK are incresing by about 5 % a month. but this was last months report and maybe out of date now.

Halo is pretty damn good!

Two games? not exactly going to make me want to buy it!

Halo is pretty sweet, infact i'd rate it as the best console no id even go as far to say out of every platform ever... halo kicks the living nutse any FPS there is, but the controls still suck
