:(If there is a crossover with the Btvs I think it could start small and perhaps as a chracter development . How about Gunn and Cordy visiting due to some vison . This would be great as :
1. It would give a chance for Carpenter to show how her character changed from the whiney , comic relief to a person who is confident , caring and an essential member of the team . Someone you would trust to watch your back and how much she has grown . 2. Give Gunn\Richards to interact with the original Scooby Gang and their take on him . I mean we have a normal human being without goverment training or genetic engneering not only able to hold his own in a fight but lead an army against the undead . 3. On Cordys home turf explore the possible relationship between the two .

As many of us know crossovers aren't going to happen.
BUT Joss Whedon has said that if they are needed then they will happen.
I think one of the best ways to deal with this is for Angel not to find out that Buffy is alive. This gives the series to become totally independent and show what it can really do. It also gives Angel the chance to deal with the death and then move on never coming back to it again.

:)Angel finds out his one true love is dead and is shocked that he still survived the loss, even feels guilt over that . He relises that his life still continues and that he still has a job to do . Kudos to him . As for the problem about not being able to do crossovers how about guestspots from chracters that have left the show . I have a soft spot for Riley Finn ( contary to popular belief I thought he was a pretty decent guy and Marc Blucas a not too bad actor ) We could have an episode where he comes to LA with a team on a recruiting misson and could mix with Angel Inc it would also be intresting to give him a harder edge and give him back the cool armour and weopenry he had in season four . The twist would be that he had an offer for Gunn to join the Intiative. I mean come on Gunn seems to have a natural aptitude for killing hostiles and leadership . We could have a plot twist where he feels the Intiative will give him the trainging he needs to be the best demonhunter he could be . As a sinister sub plot we could have a seperate team in LA with a misson to capture Angel for study forcing Finn to chose his loyalties .

Got to agree with you on Riley, I liked him too. I mean the Initiative Story line really did suck but Riley was cool. I mean one of my fav scenes of Season 4 is Rileys & Angels fight. That was cool.
But in early season 5 he was getting no screen time and you knew that it wouldnt be long before he left.
However saying that I have heard that Riley could be back for one Buffy episode this season. Fingers crossed!!!

Riley is the tits and totally kicks ass. Gotta agree with Rogue here the fight with Riley and Angel is fantastic. Even better though is there first confrontation before the fight. The look David Boreanaz and Marc Blucas give each other is pure evil and throughout the verbal sparring you know this is going to kick off into a hell of a ruck. Both are jealous of each other over Buffy for different reasons, Angel wants Buffy but Riley has her, and Riley wants what Buffy and Angel had between himself and Buffy. Ace! Gotta see Marc back in Buffy(or Angel) soon. I just can't see Gunn in any Army outfit though, he has a real attitude, I doubt he would sit very well with Riley as he does seem very abrasive. Although he does open a can of whoopass on most demons, which is strange, Gunn must be the strongest human around because all the Buffy cast (except Buffy obviously) have trouble fighting vampires and they have been fighting them for years just like Gunn. Gunn couldn't be in Riley's squad, he's too cool for school

:DThanks for the heads up Mephisto . I would have replied sooner but the genius that I am I posted it in the Faith section . ( Homer : Ummm Faith Urggggggggh *drool * ) to those in the Faith section I apologise for the inconviance and hope I was no trouble . Anyway my point was that people were expecting a replacement and in doing so was somewhat baised to anything that threatened the B\A Union . Which would explain the hostility to the Kate Lockley chracter an interesting change from Ms Summers . The point was not to see Marc Blucas chracter in context to David's . Angel \ Riley can be seen in the Hades \ Heilos context I suppose . One dammed to the dark seeking solance the other a warriour , bright , determined and seeing things in the viewpoint of simple good and evil . The trick is to like each one for their own pros and cons Thanks for the feedback and wanting more please .

No problem posting in the Faith topic I think most people knew what you were on about anyway, I did. Any excuse to mention Faith (is it hot in here or is it just me?) I think you're right about Angel/Riley and the fans dislike of him, given more of a chance I think he could have become a great addition to the show, shame his hostile reception has possibly prevented that

As I have said before I like Riley (Not in a sexual way)
Anyway getting back to my point (No not that point), anyway I was just watching "Into the Woods" on the Beeb and I must admit the ending is top notch.
EVERY single time I watch it I always expect Riley to turn his head and see her, then get off the chopper (Not that chopper) and get it on with Buffy.
Mind you I dont know why she just didnt lob a rock at him or something to indicate she was there. Oh well never mind. I just hope that Marc (Yes I am on first name terms with him) can make an apperance in Season 7!

You think that's something. I'm on first name terms with James, Tony and Marc! lol Even though I am a Riley fan, he was a complete plank at times, surely he would have been looking for buff when he was leaving. Does no-one in Sunnydale understand the meaning of 'secret identity'. Pretty much everyone Buffy has ever met found out she was the slayer, Riley's was even worse, everyone knew who he was ('cept Giles ) within about ten seconds of meeting him, he must have had some training to teach him how to disguise his shady government alter ego, guess he was asleep during that class.
